In a very interesting story that I’ve been following for some time now, 2 Las Vegas Lawyers who had been accused of federal corruption in a HOA scandal have both been found dead. From what the police report is stating, both were apparent suicides. The deaths happened 5 days apart from each other. Both individuals were Las Vegas Attorneys. David Amesbury had reached a plea deal and was to be sentenced in September. Prosecutors in the federal investigation were building a case again Quon. Quon was a prominent construction defect lawyer in Las Vegas.
I highlight just another instance where there are lawyers committing egregious acts and breaking every ethical rule that governs over those that are licensed to practice law.
